Thousands of visitors expected in Aiguillon

When you think of the Confluences Festival, dedicated to watercolor and travel sketchbooks, you immediately think of Aiguillon. The event will take place from October 9th to 24th in the town center.

The festival has become a must-see for all art lovers, who don't hesitate to travel from other regions to admire the works of around sixty artists or participate in workshops. This year, there will be nearly one hundred. The festival, which continued throughout the pandemic, will be held from October 9th to 24th in the town center. Thirty volunteers and a professional organizer are preparing the event; we must also consider the host families who will be hosting numerous artists from various places.

From October 9th to 24th, 300 watercolors will be exhibited in three rooms, and hundreds of travel sketchbooks will be added on October 15th, 16th, and 17th in two rooms. Among the 60 artists selected for this 14th edition, six are guests of honor. In watercolor, the featured artists include Reine-Marie Pinchon, from Auvers-sur-Oise, an emblematic figure in this discipline; Nicolás López, from Lima, Peru, an artist of boundless creativity; Ekaterina Sava and Igor Sava, both watercolor teachers in Rome; and portraitist Martine Voisin, from Haute-Vienne, considered one of the emerging talents.

Watercolorists and travel sketch artists await you from October 9 to 24.

As for the travel sketch artists, two prominent figures have been invited among the 14 exhibitors: Vivi Navarro, from Sète, featured in several television reports; and Emmanuel Michel, from Toulouse, a member of the French Explorers Society, a brilliant and versatile creator, also a painter and sculptor.

The festival will offer numerous activities, including the customization of a caravan by the artist Zélie, free live demonstrations at the cinema, and an international urban sketching event, the Sketchcrawl, which will bring together nearly one hundred painters and sketchers in the town of Granges-sur-Lot on Saturday, October 16.

Nicolás López, a Peruvian artist, is one of the six guests of honor.
